Santiago Roca Arribas advises clients on compliance with U.S. and multi-jurisdictional merger control laws, the review of mergers and acquisitions, government investigations into anti-competitive conduct, and the implementation of antitrust best practices. Prior to joining the firm, he trained with the European Commission (DG, Competition) and a leading law firm in Brussels.

Santiago is a native Spanish speaker and has handled multi-jurisdictional antitrust filings in English and Spanish.

  • Montagu in its acquisition of Intech, a global leader in the co-development and manufacturing of orthopaedic surgical instruments.
  • Advised CK Asset Holding in the sale of its aircraft leasing business to Maverick Aviation Holdings Ltd.
  • The General Electric Company with regards to AerCap Holdings N.V.'s acquisition of GE Capital Aviation Services business.
  • Votorantim Cementos in its acquisition of Mcinnis Cement.
  • Watford Holdings Ltd on its sale to Arch Insurance.
  • Mizuho and Marubeni in its acquisition of Aircastle, an aircraft leasing company.
  • Fitesa Nãotecidos in its acquisition of Tredegar Brasil Indústria de Plásticos; both are manufacturers of nonwovens fabrics and materials for baby care, hygiene, medical, and industrial markets.
  • GSMA in a follow-on investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2018 into GSMA's standard-setting practices that involved major U.S. telecom companies.
