Clifford Chance advises Investa on acquisition of "Uferstadt Fürth"

Clifford Chance advised Investa Immobiliengruppe on the acquisition of the "Uferstadt Fürth" business park from British Private Equity House Doughty Hanson. The parties have agreed not to disclose any information on the purchase price.

In 2004 Investa took over the asset management of the former Grundig AG premises, today a business and science park called "Uferstadt Fürth", for Doughty Hanson who had acquired the real property in 2001.

With a surface of approximately 5.8 hectare and 80,000 square metres building space the industrial park is one of the largest business areas in the Nuremberg region.

Investa Immobiliengruppe develops new and existing real property in Germany. Since its foundation in 1972, it has implemented real property projects with a total investment volume of more than three billion euros.

The Clifford Chance team included partners Cornelia Thaler (Real Estate) and Dr. Uwe Schimmelschmidt as well as counsel Anette Hofmann (both Tax) – all Frankfurt.

A team lead by Cornelia Thaler previously advised Investa in the context of several transaction, such as the sale of Munich office building "iCU" and the sale of the Giesing health centre.
