Clifford Chance advises Deutsche Annington

The international law firm Clifford Chance advised Deutsche Annington on the acquisition of a portfolio of more than 4,400 homes in Berlin from IMW Immobilien AG. In terms of portfolio size, it is one of this year's biggest residential real estate transactions on the German market. The parties have agreed not to disclose any details of the purchase price.

Deutsche Annington Immobilien Gruppe rents and manages a total of around 220,000 homes, making it one of Germany's leading residential property companies. With the completion of this deal, it now holds approximately 13,500 homes in Berlin.The Clifford Chance team was led by partner Jörn Stobbe (Real Estate) and included partner Tobias Schulten (Banking & Capital Markets), partner Oliver Felsenstein (Private Equity) and associates Katja Lennig, Dennis Blechinger (both Real Estate) and Frederik Mühl (Private Equity) – all Frankfurt.
