Clifford Chance advises ČSOB on financing of the Czech solar portfolio for Enery

Clifford Chance has advised Československá obchodní banka (ČSOB), a major Czech bank and part of KBC Group NV, on refinancing of the Czech solar portfolio consisting of 5 photovoltaic power plants acquired in 2020 for Czech subsidiaries of Enery Development group.

Enery Development is a Vienna-based renewable energy company which has recently made a major investment in the Czech Republic by acquiring 36 photovoltaic power plants and therefore became the second biggest player in the solar energy business in the Czech Republic.

The Clifford Chance team was led by Prague Banking & Finance Partner Miloš Felgr, who was primarily supported by Senior Associates Hana Čekalová and Dominik Vojta and Junior Lawyer Tomáš Kubala.

The Clifford Chance's Banking & Finance practice in Prague has advised on a number of the industry's landmark transactions in recent times. These include advising the arrangers on the IPO of CTP, the largest Real Estate IPO in Europe since 2014; J&T BANKA in connection with financing of the DOCK project development for Crestyl or Komerční banka in relation to acquisition financings for J&T Real Estate group.
