Clifford Chance's Mark Shipman re-appointed to Hong Kong Government's Financial Services Development Council

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Mark Shipman, Head of the Global Funds and Investment sector, to the Hong Kong Government's Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) for a further two year term, effective 17 January 2015.

"I am delighted and honoured to be re-appointed to the FSDC," said Mark. "Since its launch, the Council has done important work to ensure Hong Kong's leading position as a global financial centre. I'm fully dedicated to FSDC's mission having worked here for the past 17 years and look forward to continuing to contribute my first-hand knowledge of financial and regulatory markets that are constantly evolving."

The FSDC was established in 2013 by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government as a high-level, cross-sectoral advisory body to engage the industry in formulating proposals to promote the further development of Hong Kong's financial services industry and to map our the strategic direction for development.

The FSDC has five committees: the Policy Research Committee, the Mainland Opportunities Committee, the New Business Committee, the Market Development Committee and the Human Capital Committee.
