Clifford Chance advises SEB AG on the financing of the acquisition of German clinic operator MEDIAN Kliniken

Clifford Chance has advised SEB AG on a syndicated loan by SEB AG and IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG for the financing of the acquisition of MEDIAN Kliniken by Waterland Private Equity.

MEDIAN Kliniken is a German clinic operator with medical specialisms in neurological, cardiological, psychosomatic and orthopaedic rehabilitation. The group consists of 45 hospitals across Germany with more than 9,000 beds and around 7,500 employees.

The Clifford Chance team was led by partner Dr. Bettina Steinhauer and included senior associates Andreas Seip and Isabel van Bremen (all Banking & Capital Markets, Frankfurt). In addition, lawyers from the Clifford Chance offices in Luxembourg and the Netherlands were involved.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance hat die SEB AG bei einem syndizierten Kredit der SEB AG und der IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG zur Finanzierung des Erwerbs der MEDIAN Kliniken durch Waterland Private Equity beraten.

MEDIAN Kliniken ist ein deutscher Betreiber von Krankenhäusern und Rehabilitationszentren. Medizinische Schwerpunkte sind die neurologische, kardiologische, psychosomatische und orthopädische Rehabilitation. Zu der Unternehmensgruppe gehören 45 Einrichtungen in ganz Deutschland mit über 9.000 Betten und rund 7.500 Mitarbeitern.

Das Beratungsteam von Clifford Chance unter Federführung von Partnerin Dr. Bettina Steinhauer bestand aus den Senior Associates Andreas Seip und Isabel van Bremen (alle Banking & Capital Markets, Frankfurt). Außerdem waren Anwälte aus den Clifford Chance-Büros in Luxemburg und den Niederlanden tätig.
