Clifford Chance launches graduate training schemes in the Middle East

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has launched a graduate training scheme in Dubai enabling graduates to train with one of the world's pre-eminent law firms. The first intake of graduates will commence with Clifford Chance in mid-August and applications for the March 2015, March 2016 and September 2016 intake are now open until 10 August 2014.

The Dubai Graduate Scheme is a two year Dubai based training contract and offers a rare opportunity to qualify and practice in Dubai as an England & Wales Qualified Solicitor. Trainees will undertake two seats in the UAE and two seats in London and will complete their LPC in London at the University of Law.

"We are very excited to offer a training programme of this kind in the Middle East for the first time. The Dubai Graduate Scheme is a wonderful and unique opportunity for those genuinely interested in a career in law to train with a pre-eminent global law firm, in the familiar environment of the Middle East" said Middle East Managing Partner, Robin Abraham.

The Scheme is open to applicants of all nationalities and backgrounds who wish to qualify and practice as an England & Wales Qualified Solicitor. "We are particularly pleased to see a high number of applications from graduates with Arabic backgrounds who are keen to join Clifford Chance in Dubai and develop their careers locally, giving them the opportunity to stay close to their families and in the comfort of a familiar environment whilst they undertake part of their training" noted Middle East Head of HR, Shona Sibbald.

In 2015 Clifford Chance will celebrate 40 years since opening its first UAE office and the Dubai Graduate Scheme illustrates the importance of the Middle East to our growth strategy in the region. "Being able to offer training contracts in the Middle East is critical to our commitment to the region and we are delighted to provide people with a genuine interest in pursuing a legal career with the opportunity to train with the Middle East's most recognised international law firm" added Abraham.

Separately, Clifford Chance has also launched the Saudi Arabian Graduate Scheme which offers Saudi nationals the opportunity to train with and pursue a career at Clifford Chance Law Firm. The Saudi Graduate Scheme offers a two year training period with rotations in the Corporate and Banking and Finance practices of the firm's Riyadh office. The next application window will be in October this year.

Further details about the Schemes as well as instructions on how to apply are available through the Clifford Chance Middle East Careers website.
