Clifford Chance advises a syndicate of banks on the financing of two wind farms in Canada (Ontario)
Clifford Chance advises a German syndicate of banks in relation to the financing of two wind farms in southern Ontario, Canada.
The syndicate of lenders consisting of KfW IPEX-Bank and Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen Girozentrale provides debt finance in the form of EUR and CAD facilities for the construction of the two wind farm projects Springwood and Whittington. Further wind farm projects in that region shall follow.
Project sponsor is wpd europe GmbH, a German corporate that pursues this project via two local subsidiaries in Canada. The installation of the relevant Senvion MM92 turbines is scheduled for summer 2014, while the commissioning of both wind farms with a total capacity of 14.35 MW is scheduled for fall 2014.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance berät ein deutsches Bankenkonsortium bei der Finanzierung von zwei Windparks im südlichen Ontario, Kanada.
Das Bankenkonsortium aus der KfW IPEX-Bank und der Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen Girozentrale stellt für den Bau der beiden Windparks Springwood und Whittington jeweils Finanzierungsmittel in Euro und Kanadischen Dollar zur Verfügung. Weitere Windparks in der Region sollen folgen.
Project Sponsor ist die wpd europe GmbH, die das Projekt über zwei lokale Tochtergesellschaften in Kanada betreibt. Die Installation der Turbinen des Typs Senvion MM92 ist für Sommer 2014 geplant, im Herbst 2014 sollen beide Parks mit einer Gesamtkapazität von 14,35 Megawatt ans Netz gehen.
