Clifford Chance advises Deutsche Annington on its cooperation with Telekom re cable television and an optical fibre network

Clifford Chance advised Deutsche Annington Immobilien Gruppe, Bochum, on a cooperation with Telekom Deutschland GmbH, Bonn, regarding the supply of cable television services and the development of an optical fibre network. The aim of this cooperation is to supply approx. 171,000 residential units owned or managed by Deutsche Annington property group with the most up-to-date telecommunications and cable television services (Double Play/Triple Play). Beginning in the first quarter of 2013 the residential units will be connected to Telekom's new optical fibre network step by step after the implementation of expansion measures.

In the course of this cooperation, Telekom will gradually undertake to provide cable TV and radio signals for the residential units of Deutsche Annington property group. Over the contract period, Telekom will also develop a high-quality optical fibre network for a substantial part of the buildings belonging to Deutsche Annington property group.

Deutsche Annington property group is one of the largest housing associations in Germany. For both parties, the cooperation represents a milestone in the provision of buildings with modern communications technology and corresponding multimedia products.
