Firm's work recognised in Project Finance International Awards

Clifford Chance advised on the Americas Transport Deal of the Year, African Oil & Gas Deal of the Year, African Power Deal of the Year and Latin America Power Deal of the Year as recognised at the Project Finance International Awards.

Clifford Chance advised the lenders, including Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Japan Bank of International Cooperation (JBIC), on the Rodoanel Oeste upgrade project. The deal funded on Tuesday, 22 December. The team was led by Washington, DC partner Chris McIsaac, with assistance from Yana Kravtsova and Audrey Yiadom and, in São Paulo, Patrick Jackson.

Rodoanel Oeste, a 32-kilometre western section of the 182-kilometre São Paulo metropolitan beltway project that surrounds the city, is one of the largest infrastructure projects Brazil has ever undertaken. Once completed, it will reduce travel time and carbon emissions thanks to numerous network capacity enhancements

In addition to the above the firm were also recognized for their work for the following award winning deals: African Oil & Gas Deal of the Year: Kosmos/Jubilee and  African Power Deal of the Year: Moropule B; Latin America Power Deal of the Year: Pacem I.
