Adam Hunter is a lawyer in our global Tech Group. He supports multinational clients around the world on their data strategy and navigating complex data protection, commercial and technology law matters. He is CIPP/E and CIPP/US certified.

His clients include many of the world's leading companies and span a broad range of sectors including technology, consumer retail, financial services, private equity, energy, automotive, healthcare and education.

His specific legal expertise includes:

• Managing global data protection and regulatory compliance projects across Europe, the US and APAC.
• Cyber incident preparedness and managing end-to-end complex multi-jurisdictional cyber incident response.
• Advising businesses on compliance with emerging digital and tech legislation including the EU Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, Digital Operational Resilience Act, Data Act and AI Act.
• Advising on regulatory engagement and inquiries from the UK Information Commissioner's Office, the Financial Conduct Authority and other international regulators.
• Supporting businesses with complex Data Subject Access Requests.
• Advising on the adoption of generative AI, data governance and ethics frameworks.
• Helping clients successfully embed data protection principles into their product development processes and user experience.
• Advising on complex data privacy matters, from international data transfers to employee monitoring in the workplace.
• Advising on compliance with the UK Children's Code.
• Negotiating strategic commercial, IT and software agreements (on both the customer and supplier side).

Adam has significant in-house experience having been seconded to a 'big five' global technology company, a global private equity firm and fast growth energy-tech business.

Adam has assisted the firm and its clients with the implementation of various legal technology solutions and was named as one of the top 10 Innovative Junior Lawyers in the UK.
