The Referendar Seminar Programme

We combine two aims with our Seminar Programme:

• To provide our trainees with an overview of our legal areas.
• Our events are geared towards business skills such as presentation techniques, legal English and negotiation techniques. This gives Referendare an insight into some of the demands which are made on international lawyers. The introductory courses we offer are designed to be of assistance in approaching these issues.

The events take place at our Düsseldorf and Frankfurt offices. Referendare from Munich travel to these locations.

The programme comes under the umbrella of the Clifford Chance Academy and has a modular structure so that entry at all times is possible. It lasts four months and comprises the following courses:

1st Month

• Legal Drafting
• Corporate Finance: M&A and Due Diligence
• Employment Law

2nd Month

• Litigation & Dispute Resolution / Intellectual Property, Patent and Trade Mark Law
• Commercial
• Legal English

3rd Month

• Corporate Finance: Stock Corporations, Takeovers, Reorganisation
• Banking & Capital Markets I
• Presentation Techniques

4th Month

• Tax
• Banking & Capital Markets II
• Energy Law
• Real Estate
• Negotiation Techniques
