ACCC authorises resale price maintenance for the first time

Pursuant to a recent determination by the Australian competition enforcement authority, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, Resale Price Maintenance ("RPM") has been "authorised" for the first time in Australian competition law history.  The authorisation decision could be a valuable indicator of the limited circumstances in which RPM may be acceptable in Australia and other jurisdictions.
