Clifford Chance Comment: The Turner Review and its impact on the future of banking

In October 2008, the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer commissioned the chairman of the UK's Financial Services Authority to review the causes of the financial crisis and to make recommendations on the changes in regulation and supervision required to ensure a more robust banking system. Lord Turner's review (The Turner Review: a regulatory response to the global banking crisis) was published on 18 March 2009.
