Agnieszka Janicka has worked for Clifford Chance since it was founded in Warsaw in 1992 and has over 18 years of corporate experience in many industry sectors, with special focus on energy & resources, TMT, financial services, consumer goods, and healthcare. In particular, she has advised on some of Poland’s largest M&A transactions, privatizations and international equity offerings. Agnieszka also has extensive experience in advising on cross-border transactions, is recommended as the first-choice lawyer in Poland by leading private equity houses and is also recognized by many leading legal directories, e.g. Chambers Global and Chambers Europe, as the key individual in M&A, Corporate, and Private Equity in Poland.

Highlights of deals and projects

Significant professional experience includes advising:

• Energa S.A. on its acquisitions of wind power portfolios from Dong Energy and Iberdrola in Poland (transactions valued at approx. PLN 2 billion);
• Advent International on its investment in American Heart of Poland sp. z o.o., a leading provider of cardio-vascular medical services in Poland, which was incorporated by leading heart surgeons;
• PKN ORLEN S.A. (the largest Polish oil & gas group), our longstanding and strategic client in Poland, on the sale of its stake of shares in Polkomtel S.A., the largest Polish mobile network operator. This was purportedly the largest M&A transaction in Central Europe in 2011.
