Experience and career history

Thomas Burmeister specialises in energy law and advises on energy related transactions and all regulatory aspects of the value chain, including contract law, grid regulation and renewables. Apart from advising clients out of court he also represents them in numerous legal disputes in front of authorities and courts. His recent experience includes advising utilities and infrastructure funds on the acquisition of gas pipelines, power transmission networks and offshore windfarm projects. Thomas also represented network operators in proceedings regarding grid fee regulation before the German Federal High Court and advises supply companies on its General Terms and Conditions, including price adjustment clauses.
